Here's the rest of my load out. Modified Molle II large ruck, and prototype beltkit, with 2-mag tuck tab pouches.

We're working on that, now that the design has been mostly nailed down, we're field-testing them as we speak. Should have working designs ready in a month or so.

Will they be long enough to hold Surefire 60 rounders?

Finally got my chest rig together halfway to how I want it. This is one of the UW Gear APC2s -Four Tactical Tailor shingles -CAT in a BFG TQ NOW -ITS Slimline EDC pouch, currently holds a SWAT-T but will eventually hold a compact Hyfin chest seal, gloves, and gauze when I get them in I'm toying with the idea of adding BFG Tenspeeds to the pouches on the right and left to give me more options. I actually don't really like the ITS pouch because I feel like the MOLLE is poorly done and only done as an afterthought, looking for something else as a BOK pouch but trying to keep the rig as slim as possible.

Nice. I think S.O. Tech has slim pouches that would interest you. They cater to LEO quite a bit, and that is a bigger issue for them then for line unit grunts. Overbuilt, unlike ITS. Obviously, first see if our host or Tactical Tailor have something that would suit you.

Waiting to get the rest of the BOK in and take measuremts, then I'll bug Hawkeye. I'm thinking one of the 308 pouches might fit nicely, would also make my rig completely non Velcro, which is kind of cool to me. I'll take a look at the other one you mentioned though.

If all you're keeping up on your chest is medical and ammo, don't discount the concept of keeping it in multiple pouches, if that keeps it thin. single mag pouch with 2 TQs, single mag pouch with izzy/gauze, single mag pouch with everything else. Might not work, but definitely worth a thought.

Panzer, that is an option but I'm trying to leave spots open in case I ever do get a reason to run a radio or what have you.

Panzer, that is an option but I'm trying to leave spots open in case I ever do get a reason to run a radio or what have you. Then a question; Are you intending to put EVERYTHING on your chest? What is it for primarily (home defence, patrolling etc?) I ask because that's going to influence your setup. Where possible, even with small civvy radios, I would aim to belt load them, if for no other reason you can put a MUCH more effective whip on a 2m/70cm radio if it's belt, and rear, mounted than you can if it's up in your face. Environment and use is obviously a factor, hence the question

That's another good point Panzer. As for everything going on the chest rig, I honestly don't know, but I'd say for me this is pretty close to max on how much I want on it. Like I said, trying to keep the rig slim, this is more for patrolling whereas my battle belt is for my home defense; obviously I can add the two together should circumstances permit. I'll hopefully have better answers next month, heading to southern IL soon to see family where I'll get to run around in the country and get some good trigger time in that involves moving.

Hah, I'd have gone the other way; Belt for long walks, chest rig for short jaunts. I certainly wouldn't add a radio to a rig that's going to take it OUT, perhaps if there was room to one side it might be viable... Hence my suggestion for multiple thinner pouches to take kit. Might not need them all, but might work?

Current AT Armor Light Scout Rig setup... I have been using this recently with a light pack for quick property patrols. Checking trails, property lines, and out inspecting our camp.

I'm a big fan of the classic Chicom chest rig for a lightweight option. If I take an AK out to camp then I'll take this modified Chicom rig out for wearing on the property.
