I have a few rigs. (CAUTION-theory alert) I used LBE/LBV when I was doing Army shit, so, it's what I know, but, I believe that the chest rigs are mainly for vehicular operations. As soon as people are walking through the woods without vehicles driving them around the suspender/belt will once again dominate the load bearing landscape. LBE's are just more comfortable. (theory over) I have an SKD Eagle UCR for convoy ops. Currently I'm trying to get my LBE fine tuned. 2 GI modded mag pouches, 2 spec-ops utility/6mag pouches(one for gear, one for a 2qt canteen, spec-ops holster w/pistola, knife and multitool. I'm currently in need of a pistol mag pouch. ALICE belt with eagle belt pad. Just is case someone is not aware of GI mag pouch modifications. Do this- so you can do this- Failed rigs.... I also have a modded HSGI Denali that simply holds way to much crap to be of any use.

What rig is the flecktarn one? You need some krylon on that UCP, it hurts my eyes.

Flecktarn one LOOKS like a SADF rig, or at least a good copy of one. (If I'm right...)

Thanks, it took 6months of trial and error and research to get to it and many times it was in flux but I can't see much more changing ahead. Never say never though. My initial concept of complete lo-pro setup with a slick plate carrier, etc. went out the window pretty quick. BTW, the Oregon Research gloves are the bomb! I finally found something better for the price point than my old mechanix gloves that I don't need to cut fingers off of. $40 locally also.

usmc0331 What's the all up weight of that, with/without the pack? Looks like you've got pretty much everything sorted. Also, What's in the E&E kit? Do you carry maps as standard, or generally enough local knowledge not to bother? (I ask because GPS without maps is like ammo without a gun.[Well. With the radio it can be used without a map, if you're after help or etc, but still...maps])

I'll try to get weights this weekend and the EE list added. My GPS has 7.5 maps of most of Oregon loaded on it. My nav kit is kept in my BOB and has laminated 7.5s of my immediate area in it. The EE kit has atlas pages in it also for general reference. I've studied the local area on google earth for the past few years and lived here for the last 20 years.

A nice balance of toys, paper and brain. Ideal.

Weights (I guessed 45lb, reality = 58.4 as shown + 10.8 for carbine = 69.2lb although the PC and pack would rarely be carried together for much distance.) Training with it all on does not seem that bad, but I'm going to have to try cutting that down. Will also work on listing E&E out when I get a chance.
- Warbelt 14.4lb - Banshee PC 22lb - TT ROP 22lb - Loaded Carbine10.8lb

70lbs is decent, about as much as I'd want to carry. Lighter would be nice, but I'll be buggered if I could tell you what to get rid of
