Video Embedding DOES seem to e the current downfall of full30...
As to the PM SAW concept;
All I am interested in is a beaten zone.
The LSW (A 24" barrelled version of the SA80, with a bipod and rear pistol grip for stability) replicates this exact thing, but it is shit as a SAW because the firearm is fucking precise and precision does not a SAW make. I want something that will chew up 10 yards consistently at 100yds but within a known quantifiable pattern, not 1yds @ 100yds consistently or 'mostly ten yards but actually 30' @ 100 yards. Next trick is working out that beaten zone before I am sold on the concept as a whole.

This is inspiring me to re look my field expedient SAW concept again. Figure my TAC MR in combination w/ a large Mag It should work ( and it did in the past)
I heard form other sources that the combo of slidefire w/ aTaccon works real well too.
But since we can change the barrel it has ot be a true HBAR and CHF and even then anything approaching sustained fire is really out of the question.
So what is a civilian spec field expedient AR good for?
Maybe not as useful in a defensive role but for an ambush where the highest weight of fire right away is important. Also as a training aid

JC, Thanks for the interesting link... this system might be adaptable but... but its seems in the configuration that they decided it pursue its as an accuracy enhancer to reduce differential heating up not as a more durable high firing cadence barrel? I take that from the barrel being 4140 steel not 4150 or 41(V)45 CHF ...

Could be a realistic and affordable way to have a dedicated LMG. With a heavy barrel I think it would fill the role.
