This one is light enough that it just about carries itself.

That looks fantastic, Matt.
I am looking to try one of the Battlelink stocks on a similar, super-light weight carbine.
Why the shock/para, cord, though….to prevent the stock from hooking on kit?

In spite of the fact that the stock never hooked on my gear while using it, I feel a lot better knowing the paracord is there. Plus, I have never regretted having a bit of cordage on hand. I see a lot of guys doing big cobra braids on these but I don't see the need for that. I keep the weight to a minimum with a single strand and simple knot.

Light weight "gateway gun" build for the fiancee. Its a BCM 14.5 LW upper I need a different optic(this one was free and i was interested in the low power optic concept). The damn thing is ~1 lb.(suggestions?)

The damn thing is ~1 lb.(suggestions?) Always heard good things about Aimpoint. Decided it was time to pick one up. Got the Aimpoint Pro and love it. They certainly have the battery life dialed in. The manual says to leave optic on and change battery every three years.

First post on here. Figured I might as well start here. This was my first AR build. I used PSA premium everything. Aimpoint PRO optic and Magpul Pro (steel) BUIS. Just added a VTAC 2 point sling (great sling). The rail was part of the upper deal and is a MI SS12G2 - by far my favorite rail. -JL Freedom has no compromise. By definition it is absolute.

Very nice setup. I'm a big PSA fan.

Thanks! PSA had their "blemished" lowers on sale for $49.00 and the rest is history.

Here are a few ARs. They aren't all configured exactly like this anymore but most are close. This is a lightweight project that I chronicled on JTT. It weighs less than 6 pounds yet still has an H buffer, M16 carrier group, back up irons, 12" rail, a light, optic, etc. You can read about the constraints on the project here: jerkingthetrigger.com/2015/04/13/sub-6-with-a-twist-update/This one is just a project built to maximize an Aimpoint magnifier. I built it light to mitigate the weight and found that the 4 MOA dot ML3 magnified the best for me in terms of crispness. SPR Build (Geissele SD-E, Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x FFP, Aero M4E1 upper with WOA SPR barrel) A 14.5" Colt with MI FSP rail This is one is a lot of fun. (BA Hanson 16" Stainless, DD rail, Geissele SD-C, other stuff) These next two are my favorite all-around configurations - TA33 ACOG, lightweight extended rail, lightweight accurate barrel, improved trigger - its can easy recipe... Pistol configurations... This Sionics barreled upper always surprises me with how accurate it is... Weapon Outfitters 13.7" BA Hanson Build... I built this to be a dirt cheap but functional truck gun and I am thrilled with how it shoots...

My actual first rifle, PSA 16" mid length. Currently running a Primary Arms AA red dot (unfortunately now discontinued), will upgrade eventually down the road, but I had this on my 15-22 so it was free for the rifle. Current plans are to put on a MOE grip, better flashlight/mount, and MOE handguard, then gun skin it in ATACS FG; after a decent amount of ammunition/mags/range time of course. Sling is a Frank Proctor sling, I don't follow Frank really, but I really like this sling; light and quick adjustable.
