Yes. It was a gift from my GF. She got it for me from AtTheFront.com It wickedly effective in matching the terrain up here...It has 0 cargo room and wears much like a formal blazer jacket rather then a true utilitarian garment. If you get one get one a size or two larger otherwise its a perfect fit that felt much like a tuxedo blazer to me..

Plain Jane Wasr-10. This is my first AK. I inspected this Wasr and inspected it again. Seems like I got a good one. The finish is not perfect, but this is certainly a rifle I wouldn't cringe over beating it up a bit.

Where are you getting your overwhites? And how are you layering. Winter (the several months of it in my prospective AO) is something I've never really had to worry about or train for, and I need as much info as possible.
(Sorry to Hijack the gun porn!)

Factory Bulgarian RPK-74 with 45rd mags You might want to re-size these to a lower resolution... It took a long time to load...

Winter (the several months of it in my prospective AO) is something I've never really had to worry about or train for, and I need as much info as possible. (Sorry to Hijack the gun porn!) These overwhites are Italian, bought as new, old stock, and I paid $13 for the set. However, German, Russian, Swiss and US versions can be had on the cheap as well if you shop smart. I got mine here: www.keepshooting.com/italian-army-snow-camo-suit.html Layering: I am a firm believer that wool, after all these years, is still king. So I am rocking Wool Socks (I want wool content in the +90%) Bates gore-tex boots (I don't normally wear waterproof boots except in cold weather where freezing is an issue) Trousers are West German wool combat pants with a waterproof membrane. Thermals can be either cotton, or merino wool (preferable) Merino wool sweater Wool gloves, I think these are Swedish, with wool mittens and a canvas/leather outer mitten (also Swedish) Wool toque Wool or Fleece cap...However in these pics I was rocking a rabbit fur/wool German winter hat Jacket. I'm rocking a Craighoppers softshell, with zip in fleece liner that has been quite impressive. It gets treated with Scotch-Guard about twice a year.

What temperatures are you looking at 'comfort' and 'safe' in that gear?

Teens to just below freezing. The fur/wool hat is too much though... Too hot. This all depends on the amount of activity you are doing, if you are patrolling 10 miles a day this kit would be too warm. If you are sitting in a slit trench overnight.... You will likely get cold feet.

"Pray that you flee not in the winter...." Y'shua (Jesus)
But you still need to be ready to do so...

First ever (possible annual) Red Dawn live fire event in Dallas!
Rules were simple...Bring/wear only weapons and equipment found in the original Red Dawn movie. We had a butt-ton of RPK's and many different AK variants. Lots of other combloc weapons, letterman jackets and Russian uniforms as well.

My AK-74 Tantal I acquired back in the frenzy of 2012 by the butt-load of $$$ I made selling my stainless DSA SA-58 and most of my 7.62 ammo... Before this sale, I was an AR guy all the way with just the FAL for manly thumping of targets among the pop, pops of 5.56mm
Built on a very early Nodak receiver by the late Bobby at Salbo Arms... Added a Parabellum Arms rail kit, and a AR-type butt stock adapter (not shown in pics) for a better function than the wire stock.
