They don't have optic rails. That's an absolute deal-breaker, in my opinion. I could buy a QC inspected wasr from Atlantic Firearms for ~$200 less, and it will have an optic rail, and I know it'll be reliable. But, *Made in USA*, amirite?!

Side rails on the reciver can be added later..same goes for more forward mounted set ups (scout style or rear sight block) . Honestly Atlantic has a good Rep. So 200$ less if it wasn't a primary that'd be the way to go. Back when...I passed on tons or sar s and wasr's. Krebs and arsenal were both just near that 1k$ mark. I went middle of the road on a Polish vector build on the good nodak spud receiver. Now...mine ran mid 600$ 9- 10 years back...and didn't have a side mounted optics platform. So now if I go that route its gonna be scout mounted. My general AO is thick...long shots would not exceed 250 yards.and most would fall sub 100 ...

I don't have the tools nor experience to add a side rail at a later date, nor would I want to pay to send the rifle off to have it added, when I can just buy a rifle with one mounted from the beginning. I don't have any experience with a scout-style mounted optic, but I'm not opposed to the method, after reading about it.

its good to go, given a quality optic. i thought my aimpoint was going to melt one time, but it still works like a champ.
