I've read good reviews about these, the ones with the proper muzzle device and stock. They are a 1:9 twist, not 1:10. However, Radom is in the process of establishing a USA plant, so I'd personally wait until they come out with whatever they're making here state-side. But if you've got your heart set on one of these, I don't think you'd be doing wrong. They start at about $1000, so just be ready for the price tag, and the price tag of 5.56 AK mags.
(Off topic; that's a weird ass rule, for 5.56 only.)

It's also (potentially) a good choice if everyone else is using 5.56!

You can get an arsenal SGL-106 for less (ive seen them for 850) and they are of very good quality.
I think a 5.56 AK is the way to go.

I'm seriously eye-ing an Arsenal SLR-106fr, to get after I complete the assembly of my AR. I'd really like to get the handguards and railed top cover from Zenitco. That way, I can mount an optic and still retain full functionality of the original stock.
