Hey I found a guy at the flea market that is selling a Hungarian AK I think it was a FEG SA85M
He wanted $650 for it and said it had only been fired about 100 times I am pretty sure I could talk him down on the price but first I was gonna see what you guys think about the SA85s here
Im not a expert on firearms but I know a thing or two on condition ect it looks like it is in good shape , has no rust . All the serial numbers match so its not a parted out ak
Anyways The guy is a Active soldier and seems honest about things he has sold me in the past So I was thinking about talking him down to $480 I wish I had some photos of it to post

Did it have a thumb hole stock? Look like the top one in this picture: i45.tinypic.com/9sqt92.jpgSome quick research says the FEG is pretty solid. Note: the one in the pic is one bought in '94 during the AWB so doesn't have the ability to take muzzle brakes. If you could get him down to $480 sounds like a sweet deal for the current firearms buying market. IMHO

I flipped through my "Book of the AK" by Pat Sweeney, and the Hungarian AKs seem pretty good to go if the price is right (no idea on that front, sorry).

It did not have a thumbhole stock on it but he said when he got it it had blonde thumbhole Furniture I had no clue what that was lol until now , and that he took it off and traded it for the black skeleton stock that was on it . Ive never seen the type of stock that was on it before , It was Black abs type material with handgrip included all one piece I was trying to act not all that interested because I was trying to get a good deal but sometimes the lady factor doesn't always work out in my favor . especially when the seller knows I don't know a huge amount about the particular firearm. Sounds like a fair price and it is not difficult to upgrade the AK at all if you find the ergos of the stock or grip lacking.
