Nice Ak and Rig, If I may ask, what kind of Bergmütze are you wearing ? and where can I find one ? No its NZ made by Platypus. Its just loaded with standard emergency kit for a day out. Clothing, food, flares, signal panel etc etc..and standard all arms PLCE vest...

For those of you that own Aresnal AKs, are they worth the money? If not, what brand/manufacture of an AK do you trust the most.

That might be the best Multicam paint job I've ever seen. Did you follow someone's instructions or figure it out on your own?

Thanks, I do it myself. I just cut some stencils, and then spray paint it. I think there is a thread on the forum, somewhere, which goes into more detail. EDIT: Here is that old weapons painting thread: uwgear.proboards.com/thread/129/painting-guns

I call this one the Heinous WASRBeast. There is something really great about an AK that you just don't care about. This one is a Saiga that has an AK-101 folder and was converted by In Range. It was DuraCoated by a buddy and has been touched up with only the finest Krylon applied by the artistic hands of yours truly. It's ugly and awesome at the same time. This is an SGL-21 to which In Range added an AK-101 series folder. They gave it a nice finish and some Cryillic selector markings. The IWC SMC Light Mounts are so stinkin' perfect for these hand guards. This is the latest addition to the fold - a DDI Stamped AK, Zhukov Edition. I am impressed with the guys are DDI and the rifles they are putting out. This thing will do 2.5" at 100 yards with Golden Tiger and an Aimpoint. I shudder to think of what it might do with a magnified optic and a better shooter behind it. The light mount is a development unit from someone other than DDI that I can't share yet, hence the witness protection treatment. A group shot that has several of the above in it...

Like Matt said, there is something beautiful about an AK you dont feel bad using it as a hammer. Heres my WASRbeast.

Man, that gun needs Krylon just to hide it. LOL, don't get mad.
