Does anyone here have experience and opinions on the striker-fired FN FNS? I am thinking about getting a modern pistol with the 1911 grip angle because I naturally pont these pistols better than my Glock 19. I really like the idea of the FNS long slide. Input? Thank you.

I saw a used long slide version today with 5 mags for $485. I know this shop will be firm on the price. It's serial number is far above the range of early pistols that had problems.
What do you all think of this deal?

FN makes a fine handgun and the Striker fired FNS is a good gun. Also remember to factor in cost/availability of magazines. Why do you like the idea of the long-slide version?

The long slide looks appealing to me because I would like a full size pistol and it's about the size of a 1911. Not that it matters, but I also think it looks better than the 4" variety.

Check this out. I've done some training with Sage Dynamics too. I've been debating on a g19 and FNS 9mm for some time. Still not sure which to go for. I may go with a g19 and have the frame modified for the 1911 style grip. A place like LightFighter Innovations and does what looks to be solid grip work. www.facebook.com/LightFighter-Innovations-266010930129719/?fref=ts

I love mine. I was attracted to it for the same reasons as you were (striker fired polymer gun with very 1911 ergos) and I love it....
HOWEVER: it is hard to find holsters, magazines, and just about any accessories for the pistol. I think if FN would just stop sucking on the marketing front this pistol would beat glock any day. I was waiting for them to make the FNS just slightly smaller in the frame to make it glock 19 sized. That would be an ideal pistol IMO. Out of all the reviews ive seen on it (mrgunsandgear, doitrite just to name a few) everyone says the same thing: this pistol should be more popular than it is.
but The FNS9c seems to be a winner too. I'm looking at picking one up.
buy the FNS. I dont think you'll regret it. if you do, sell it to me for cheap : )
