I prepare for what I can afford to. In my case, power outages and storms.
My armed citizen goals are just to be a bit better armed and trained than most people. The AC stuff is more of a hobby because the necessity for it is very low in my risk assessment.
Fact is, I have power outages and storms yearly, but the AC aspect hasn't been seriously engaged since the 1860's. Riots in big cities down south will never spill into SE Alaska.
This is just me and mine, every other person's risk assessment will be different.

Good video. I dont think alot of people are as prepared as they really think they are, myself included. We put things aside for the family, but do you have food and medical supplies for your great aunty whose in her late 80's and lives 3 miles away? Is she really going to be left to fend for herself? If an event was to happen tomorrow, I will be flat out fucked. But, not nearly as fucked as everyone else. Its an ever growing project, with no end is sight.

I don't think you can prepare until you do a realistic honest educated threat assessment you can't prepare for something that you don't fully understand if you don't know what the threat is you don't know what the ramifications of that threat might be how do you prepare granted you can prepare for a all encompassing grid down environment you could prepare for a regional loss of utilities loss of gasoline electricity things like that but we're talking about an armed citizen response you can't know what to prepare for until you look with the threat is and I think all too often people in our community don't look at the threat we perceive the federal government is being threat we don't look at what the federal government can do through proxy we don't think about the Nation of Islam or how gangs the Bloods and the Crips and MS 13 and all these other threats are starting to come together underneath one controlling banner one central organization that has ties all the way to the top the Nation of Islam has ties all the way to the White House we should be thinking about thatour

Honestly..it would suck shit balls. But i think thetes lots of "gun guys"with little to no preperations. Me...i wentvthe way many didnt. I got debt free...moved to a more isolated area..while not perfect its a much much more sustainable spot and has the benifit of low cost living. Security will a issue fo sure but thats getting worked on.but due to location i dont see bands of looters walking down my driveway. Stock piling stuff is great and covers a wide scenerio base from no power to economic crash. You just cant get so lost in it that you miss sight of the end goal...

Well putting on my tinfoil hat I'd say economic collapse, grid down, or pandemic will come before the body politic turns into extreme tyranny. This collapse may just weed out a lot of the source of the problem.. so I say bring it ..

Well putting on my tinfoil hat I'd say economic collapse, grid down, or pandemic will come before the body politic turns into extreme tyranny. This collapse may just weed out a lot of the source of the problem.. so I say bring it .. My major worry for the US is economic AND energy collapse (so heavily linked it's untrue.) Given 60% of US energy is from imported fossil fuel (currently) if renewable means aren't sought out in the next 10 years or so then I reckon the country will be fucked. Iraq was about oil: If it wasn't the the US military in Iraq wouldn't have threatened to 'retake' Basra after we changed the trading currency to Euros & the Oil economy tanked...

Social unrest brought upon by an economic collapse. Also an EMP be it brought on by man or the sun.
The sun spits out CMEs likes its the suns day job. We are well past due and its no question of "if" but only "when".
