it's a forlorn hope, something that you do right before you die, like the guys in Mogodishu. The fact is, with pistols, bullet placement is bs, unless the guy has no gun, and is not yet striking you. What you do is empty the mag into him and HOPE that the shock and destruction cause him to QUIT, psycholically, cause blood loss takes 4-5 seconds at the very least, to incapacitate him.

And I can point you to a gentleman who wouldn't ever NOT carry a pistol (as a secondary) - Because he very nearly took a sideswipe from a dog. Looking at it from a 'SHTF' or 'WROL' context, imagine you're flopping through the woods and a back of rabid dogs comes at you (or just one....) You don't GET a rabies shot anymore. Herd immunity and everything else is going out of the window. More on point; Shot placement does matter. (because if you can't place it on the target you may as well not have a gun...) But only really insofar as make sure you hit, and make sure it's chest or face. Best way to do that is aim for the chest, because there's more of it than the face. CoM is taught worldwide for a reason.

of course MISSEs do very little, that's not what the "placement" guys are talking about. Most of the time, if guys are using rifles, the enemy is using COVER, and then the head is the largest mark. Guys imagine that they can hit the head THEN, so why not with the pistol, at the normal ranges, in real life, of civilian attacks (ie, 10 ft and less). what does the pistol have to do vs dogs, shtf, hmm? why aint the rifle in hand?

Cause you picked one (and caliber) that's too damned big and heavy to always be on the assault sling? The world's full of people who got LUCKY, and who "think' that their "experience" gives them some sort of insight, but they are still wrong, pard. everyone on earth was convinced that the world was flat, not so long ago, ya know. When I show you that you're wrong, you just dig in your feet and keep on doing the same thing. Willful failure to learn, that's what you are experiencing.

the heart is the same 4" circle as a target as is the brain. if you can reliably hit the one, why not just aim at the other and be done with the speculation and the risk of a non-stop, hmm? I don't know who you are, but you have no idea what the hell your talking about. I would take the time to explain it to you, but I almost have the feeling that it wouldn't matter. I'm gonna just go ahead and say this, and only once, so pay close attention. Please read the two tacked threads that are at the top of every section. You are not on a forum with a bunch of kids. We have a lot of well versed, and EXPERIENCED, folks here. Please make note of that and post accordingly. You sound an awful lot like gunkid......
