Nope. If you're shooting bound prisoners in the backs of heads then 1: you've got a lot of explaining to do because this is messed up and 2: could just use .22lr. They aren't going anywhere and if they don't die immediately they will once you bury them in the mass grave you just had them dig for themselves.
I have .45s but I'm a 9mm guy these days.

I don't think 22lr is nearly as available to mil units as 9mm. I think that's one of the main reasons 9mm has the terminal stats it has...It is used all over the world, where rounds like .45 and especially .40 are common in the states, but harder to find issued en-masse anywhere else. I'm glad to see a fellow 9mm user, what was your primary reason for the switch from 45?

All I meant is that it could have been anything, including .22. Shooting people in the back of the head is not the hallmark of a fighting gun. There's no fighting.
My reasoning was capacity and capability... Once I made peace with the notion that no man-portable weapon is an instantaneous fight stopper my choices opened up.

if I have ot count on the very first round it will be a .357 Magnum Revolver. Fantastic round in terms of effects AND penetration and shot out of a platform that gurantees accuracy via intuitive pointability and fixed barrel. I did recently by mag fed auto pistols for concealed carry but if I am concerned specifically about making the 1st round count this is what I will shoot ( see attachment)

Loved it, but like many foolish young men I sold it, prob for something stupid. Wouldn't mind finding one again to add to the armory.

Hoo boy, here we go. Got my nine-teen 'leven by side, and if you see me comin', you better break wide. My tactical wheelbarrow is rollin' along, I can go anywhere, it won't take long, No sky is too high, No blast is too fast, No muff is too tough, You call and I'll fall. Cuz my wheelbarrow n me, can drop by air, land or sea, And when we hit the 'zone, you'll be history. So never doubt, the gunkid is about, Armageddon ain't shit I'm equipped for it. Peace-out, bitches! Very true, the M&P and XD goodness look very good, but again, I'm looking for an extended track record before switching over. Only took me 20+ years to warm up to a Glock! Lol. Can I say Diz... love the poetry

I think my number one practice is to always cycle that same first round into the chamber every time. Unloaded weapon..... remove the first round in the mag, install the chamber round,...... reload that unicycle "out the box round.
I here of single shot, failure to feed all the time..... blaming the mag. BS more than half the time there is bullet setback from repeated chambering. My buddy carried the same 15 rounds of expensive Gold Dot for 5 years, cycling the same two rounds into the chamber over and over. His eyes were wide when I measured the setback for him.
NEVER ALTERNATE the first two rounds, as you will experience setback of a bullet and no feeding at some point.... effectively making a single shot. I use that first round in practice every time, and add a fresh round from the box to the mag.
