So I finally joined the Pistol Red Dot Club... Very first thing I have noticed is my presentation on the draw is off compared to irons. So a few questions for those smarter and with more experience than me.
-I have been doing reps with just drawing and getting the dot on target and I think the small adjustment I am making is working. Essentially bringing the pistol up on a more horizontal plane and pushing my wrists forward a bit more on it and the dot is there and on target more and more. So question, is that the right adjustment to make? Is that the common fix?
-Is there a recommended zero distance for a dot? Obviously the height over bore changes vs irons (depending on the dot mounting) but is there a norm to follow such as 7 yds, 10 yds, 15 yds, or just personal preference?

Somehow, that doesn’t sound right to me. No optic should cause you to have to modify your natural draw and presentation.
