As usual, a solid intro with clearly relatable examples.
Intel is among the most overlooked aspects of UW planning/ops contemplated by the inexperienced.

Agreed. I like how he peppers it w/ examples that will be useful to the Prepper/Survivalist/Patriot Insurgent etc.

Underestimated, overlooked, yet more important in some instances than having the right gear & training. If you're not in yhe right place at the right time to do XYZ task, it will never be achievable. If you turn up to, say, build a bridge for pedestrians to cross a river without any gear you might be able to improvise something from skills, or if you have something simple enough yo do you might be able to get it to work anyway. But intelligence, especially beyond the tactical level, is not sexy unless you actually understand it.
Good tactics and gear but no Int is like turning up to a hokey match in expensive football gear ready to be quarterback.

also, strategy. no one really discusses practical strategy of what they're going to do. okay, so you're bugging out to some kind of retreat; how? airborne? seaborne, etc. logistical considerations. But again; Blanket stacking and paper excercises are not cool.
