It always struck me as odd, to wish someone a happy day, when that day is meant to remember those who have fallen in military service to the US. I myself have not served, & the family members I have who did, all made it back. If you are not in the same position as I, then I hope you enjoy the fondest memoiries of them & I offer a heartfelt thank you for the service of those who cannot be thanked enough.

I lost three friends from medic school in Afghanistan. I was here at my Guard unit, but one of my best friends was with them and saw one of them die. My wife lost her best friend she had known since middle school in Afghanistan as well. Screw the barbecues, take a moment of silence and think hard about the price of wars. Then get back out and train so that you don't become a moment of silence.

Had a nice long weekend with family and friends.
Many of my Brothers were there and we remembered those who weren't.
I have too many names and not a day goes by without one or more coming to mind.
For people like us, every day is a Memorial Day.
