Some may have already seen this article, but I thought it was important enough to post here. virginiafreemen.com/2017/04/24/the-flip-side-of-liberty/In a nutshell, many who support the cause of freedom, turn around and choose to use that freedom to generally be hostile and nasty people. This does not help the cause of liberty as it makes those who are on the fence see that attitude and start to think (rightly or wrongly) about if those people act this hostile now, how bad would it be if they had the full liberty that they claim to want? This works against the cause of liberty as it causes some of whom who would be willing to listen, to instead shake their head and see nothing wrong with some of the anti freedom rules we have around us. I will admit, that I have been guilty of this far too much. I have been hostile when completely unnecessary and not as helpful as I could be, I am seeking to change that. "America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great."

We are in a Civil War. Mostly cold, and that is how our enemies like it as they are physical cowards. But being polite to folks who despise your heritage, think you a fool, want your women to dress and act like whores and your sons faggots won't really get us anywhere except into further cultural decay and eventual extinction. Look at how we are ridiculed by the Left, and how they sing the praises of Mao, Lenin and the like. Obama's mentor Ayers estimated it would take the death of 30 million Americans to bring their plan to fruition. And he walks about a free man. Treating the enemies within the gates as if they are apart of our tribe while they take advantage of us and vote against our freedoms is a mistake in my opinion. It hasn't worked for the last 100 years and I don't see it working in the future.

I'm pretty sure what he's actually saying is, for example, that just because you can say racist things... doesn't mean you should. No one is saying treat people with kid gloves. There's a university professor thats in the news currently over refusing to use these fucking stupid personal pronouns people have started using rather than hr and she. He doesn't use them (free speech and all that) but he also doesn't waste the right to free speech by calling them faggots or trash talking them. That DOES make you as bad as any lefty who assumes that because you're from somewhere rural and own guns that you're 'a stupid hick'.
Restraint is quite often the better part of valour.

A good piece - well written and MUCH needed!
With freedoms and rights come duties and responsibilities. FAR too many want the former and refuse to accept the latter.
It's MUCH easier to say what you're against and join the circular firing squad than it is to say what you're for, set an example and roll up your sleeves to get the hard work done!

I didn't take this article as being a "let's all hold hands and sing while the bastards stab us in the back", I took it as a "don't be a dick to allies, just to be a dick". Quote from article: Strangely enough if we put half the effort in positive cooperation or even a fraction of that venom a) directed at people who weren’t on our side and b) contributing rather than simply critiquing, we may have accomplished slightly more in the last decade than a group of college kids managed to in the six months since Trump became elected. This isn't about using kind words and apologizing to your enemy, this is about respecting each other and building a common culture within the Patriot movement

I never really believed the "Patriot Movement" was going to go anywhere. It had no real foundations, no real direction, & no real leadership. Frankly, I'm not interested in some larger liberty movement, because I've seen it get undermined by agent provocateurs & sellouts all too often. The modern US citizenry is so removed from the time of the founding, & the mindset of the people who lived during the time period, I'm not sure some movement teaching responsible liberty would be worthwhile. That's a dark & jaded view, but I just don't see us turn fast enough to avoid the iceberg of Statism. It's a Time of Judges, ahead of us, I see.
