Rather than buy that lightweight sleeping bag shown in the vid, I think I'll swap out the heavy wool blanket for the thinner GI one I have and/or a woobie. The cool thing about bedrolls is that you can layer up or down as needed. In the Army, I would sorta use this concept by using the lighter bag of the MSS combined with the woobie sometimes. At NTC in July, I just used the bivy and my woobie. The less weight/bulk in my ruck the better.

Sil nylon tarp..2xblack diamond down throws sewed together. What I've contemplated doing. The 2 pack throw,are sub30$ . I've got one. It's super light and perfect for 50ish temps.
