In case you missed this gem.
I wonder what the debate was on good targets? Rob the gun store or the police station? Hmmm... choices.

Feel badly for the owner. Not for the perpetrators. I hope no one on this forum ever has to use their weapons within our own country (veterans thank you for protecting my family).

Hopefully, the dirtbag was killed before he had a chance to breed.

Hopefully, the dirtbag was killed before he had a chance to breed. I don't know about that, ladies love a man that is known to go for the dual wield pistols during a robbery.

The clerk/owner/whomever was very lucky the perp didn't shoot back. It didn't look like such occurred, from my viewing of the footage. It's not recommended to draw on an assailant who is already draw on you, since you are way behind the curve in the situation. I think the shoot was justified, just rather risky, in my opinion. The perp who was struck looked to still be breathing by the end of the video, & it didn't look like the clerks made an attempt to clear him by getting the known weapon away from him. I wouldn't suggest attempting to render aid, bit EPW concerns came to my mind, after the shooting stopped.

I think the suspect was dead before he hit the ground. No reflex grab or movement towards his wound, no attempt to break his fall. I get the whole dont draw on a drawn gun concept. But when you have space to move and concealment/cover I think he did it spot on. The mere fact that there was resistance made one guy flee before a shot was fired. From the report, he was shot at by the dead suspect. I can tell you one thing, Its hard to tell from the video, but i'd have second thoughts about the other clerk having my back. He had his hands up and didnt seem to say a damn thing to the owner that they're about to get robbed.

Jeff Cooper wrote extensively about this, citing Col John Boyd and the OODA Loop. You can draw and fire on a mugger before they realize wtf is happening. Getting "Off The X" as you do so is advised, but not 100% necessary, as this video attests.

It still looked like he was gasping some, while on the ground. I wouldn't have turned my back on him, just in case... I don't know if there was much cover offered by the display cases and sales counter, but the store owner did look like he had concealment and enough of an opportunity, to draw and turn the tables on the would be robbers. I don't know if it was well advised to shoot at the second suspect, since he seemed to be fleeing, and with the potential for bystanders in the parking lot. That's just Monday morning quarterbacking, on my part. I'm glad the victims were unharmed, and disappointment the perp led a life that resulted in him being killed by someone he intended to victimize. Groover seemed quite distraught, but still able the handle the results of the situation.

I think that gofundme page may be a scam. And that mugshot...? Face tattoos, a true sign of a great contributor to society...
