I threw this together a year or so ago and thought i'd share, since I think it's pretty damn cool: It's only illuminated, but actually worked quite well, despite the poor picture quality - it was hard to get a good picture through the viewfinder. Basically it's a CMOS camera module wired to an old camcorder viewfinder. Camera module has a standard NTSC RCA output, and easily wires into the viewfinders input. Once I get my Bridgeport up and running i'd like to try and machine a nice housing for some better electronics and see if I can make something more functional and durable. Yes, more of a hobby item, but still would be useful (especially because I don't yet have NVG's) Attachments:
