I wear a medium in gloves, really helps in that I can shoot smaller pistols easier I was watching some more videos on the Izula lately and saw a couple that mentioned the textured coating causes some issues with making the blade drag on things (cardboard and such), what are your experiences with that Omni and Otis? The coating issue has me thinking about going with the BK14 instead.

ESEE makes the Izula in stainless steel and "Damascus" steel, without a coating.
I've not done any cardboard cutting with my ESEE 5, mainly because its a quarter inch think, but the yardwork I've done with it, the coating hasn't been a problem for me.

the coating smoothes with use. or sandpaper. i've destroyed cardboard boxes, box pallets, and split wood with this thing.

I like that wrap job you've got there Otis, not one for the lanyards people usually have hanging off of their knives.

the izula medic braid, i think it's called. named after the forum member who came up with it... adds a bit of a swell in the grip, fills the hand a little better than the standard wrap.
the izula 2 comes with full length scales, but costs a bit more than the plain izula.
