Seems to work really well. A lot of people have said that colors wash out and a good solid color is just fine in the field, but the two things that gave you away each time were either your face, or bandana. One shot the back of your head was behind some foliage and I didn't make you until you moved.
Hooray for full camo in the field.
Seems good for your area, and would work well in areas with more rock thrown in (which a transitional pattern should do). I really like the ATACS patterns and wish more gear was available for it. The iX may be a good Jack-of-all-trades pattern.

Yeah, I've never understood the reasoning behind the notion of a solid tone being just as effective as a camo pattern, just because of the camo pattern blurring to a degree at longer distances. Why else would camo patterns be used on a uniform, if they weren't effective at doing the job? That bandana stuck-out at times to me, too.

Little dark at distance...up close it seems to do well. Agree that your face/head gave you away majority of the time.
Youve got a skunk ape walking around behind you 3/4s way through the video on that tree line.....

What are the chances of us getting to see any of this kit through NVGs lad?
The reason I ask is that, for example, desert DPM is MAGICAL in the desert... until it's nighttime and it's shit, and blokes carry temperate DPM jackets around to wear at night so they don't light up, given the cheapness of 'good enough' night vision these days. It's a consideration that many might not feel relevant because THEY don't have NVGs, but actually that only sways the decision against them.
An extra shirt that is useless in the daytime but sorts you out at night weighs next to nothing, and if nothing else can be kept as a spare bit of dry kit without overburdening yourself.

Kind of why I bought mostly Mil Surp gear that was treated for NIR suppression.

Kind of why I bought mostly Mil Surp gear that was treated for NIR suppression. The gear I'm talking about WAS Military gear (brand new, not surplus) treated for NIR suppression. The difference was still pretty obvious when demonstrated, hence why blokes out on live ops were carrying their 'normal' combat jackets as well for night ops.

Possibly. I'll see what I can do.

To my eyes that looked just like Tiger Stripe up until the very end when you sat close to the camera.
Just a bit too dark, even in that thick foliage. Which I think is why we made the switch to ERDL, and then Woodland.
Still, better than plain Olive Drab.
+1 on the coyote bandana/skin issue

Its a good looking pattern that I suspect will be a good all rounder like Multicam.... But in an environment with that much green I'd expect ATACS FG to do better.

Not to any real measurable degree. Not saying it doesn't work mind you, it does, just not "better" per se'.

Dont get me wrong I like this pattern. Likely a better allrounder than ATACS FG and possibly AU
