Fun stuff that gets you thinking.
I like that it wasn't just a worst case scenario... just a feeling out patrol.
Keep it up!

Very creative. I enjoyed imagining the scenario.

So, some points of note that have came about due to this video. For some reason, the views on it are off the chart (at least for my small channel) and I'm not sure why. Over 12,000 and counting at the moment. What's been interesting is the comments. The trolls are just coming out of the wood work on this one. The comments are far more positive than negative, by a significant margin. However, I'm noticing that the negative comments are being done by "people" who's channels are in no way whatsoever survival/preparedness related, or, have absolutely zero content at all. This is telling to me. Based on the comments, a few things have become quite clear to me though. - There are a lot of people out there who literally have nothing better to do with their lives than to troll youtube, to a level that I genuinely think involves mental issues. This will be an issue if/when things ever go bad.
- There are MANY people out there, who are completely void of any reading comprehension skills. Either that, or they intentionally ignore things. Either way, that is a serious problem for society.
- So many people know absolutely nothing about moving in the woods, other than what they've seen on tv, movies, and/or video games. They are in for a rude awakening one day.
- The old adage, "better silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt", is 100% true and accurate.
Now, you wont see the idiots comments, as I don't approve them. I'm not going to waste my very limited and valuable time arguing with/debating them as it wouldn't make a difference anyway, and I'm not giving them the chance to be seen on my channel. Besides, they are all drive by trolls anyway, as they aren't commenting on any of my other videos.... just this one.

Yesterday, I felt old for the first time. Had some kit to pick up, needed to get sized for it. I knew my sizes in inches, stuff on the shelves was in metric. Because I was lazy I asked the young (21) lad I was with to check with his phone. "It doesn't have a converter". Didn't even THINK to use a calculator, so I said use the calculator. "What do I put in?"
Now, I'm not saying I'm some maths guru. But the basic ability to convert between cm and ", miles and KM, and other simplish measurements is something that I would consider foundation level knowledge/skills. The kind of stuff you'd need to do basic things, like simple construction, "will X fit in Y" when one measurement is in metric and the other imperial. A whole bunch of basic tasks.
In the last... probably 20-30 years proper MY country, for definite, has gotten to a point where primary and secondary industry (digging stuff out of the ground and making things from it) have become very, very few and far between, and because of that basic skills are lost. In and of itself in a global economy this isn't a problem so long as the cogs keep turning.
I remember there was a newspaper headline recently where 'emergency biscuits' were FLOWN INTO THE UK, because there was a shortage. Biscuits. FLOWN. I don't honestly see much chance of a TRUE collapse in this country, at least in my lifetime. But when it comes, there are going to be a whole bunch of people who die because they're dumb. Not because we're killing each other, just because people don't have the skillsets, or at least the mindset to be able to develop those skillsets in any timescale at all....
Glad to hear you're not feeding the fuckwits.

Let's see a video of you layed up surveiling the interlopers. Did/do you have binoculars? Camera to grab pictures, taking notes?

This is the kind of shit I come here for. Totally did a face palm when reading this. Never occurred to me to bring a small book for sketches on recon, this would especially helpful after patrol and recon when doing a "sand table".

look up 'plasticard'. it's used for modelling. Permi pen any 'fixed' information on it, and use pencil (which will wipe off with water/spit if necessary) for non permi stuff. Reuseable and long lasting, unlike paper. Good for stuff like radio callsigns, ammo states, casualty information etc. Anything that you're going to do on a regular basis that you can put into some sort of grid or table for easy reading. On top of that the sketches I've already mentioned, and even route cards for less sensitive stuff (ie day to day use, not tactical)

Another interesting adaptation I've seen that most definitely works is using 'sniper tape' or 'CBRN tape' as an armpad type affair. This stuffMakes for a good quick notepad, have also seen it wrapped around the stock of rifles with dope for different ranges marked on, etc. Good for making high vis stuff a little less shiny etc... It's by no means foolproof, but it's a LOT quicker than getting to a notepad etc.
