Spot on Hawkeye. Especially the fitness push. You can hand a man a rifle and even if necessary train him up in a couple weeks. You cannot hand him physical fitness paid for by consistent long term strength and endurance training.

Timely and sound advice Hawkeye. My sixth sense is telling me the same thing to double or triple down.

I'm a disgusting fatbody. If this statement is true, and you want to slim down, I can tell you how.

Been mountain biking, riding bike to work, and doing work projects at home the last 6 months, but slacked off on it over winter. Yeah, I have an exercise bike at home, but BORING! I know, excuses. Can't wait for spring weather to come...

I know how, I just can't seem to get motivated properly. There are other factors, but they are all excuses. There are people in way worse situations trying way harder.
I'll get what I deserve.

Been in the gym since October, strength is improving. Cardio is improving, I feel better all around, my eating habits have changed. My blood sugar is down and I miss it when I miss a workout day. Its the best thing I have done for myself in a while and no fancy equipment needed or expensive gym memberships wasted while waiting for a piece of equipment. It can be done if you truly want it. Just stop ling to yourself about your condition and get off your Lazy butt and make it happen. Just go outside right now... and make up any worse case situation you can think of... my block/home/workplace is being attacked by overwhelming odds/equipment the only way to survive is running as fast as you can to de ass an area and put distance behind you and threat... how far you going to get while washing down that Krispy cream with some cream and sugar with a splash of coffee. Or your loved one has been shot at an event no help is coming soon and you have to carry them out of building etc. How far you getting before you collapse having a heart attack from the stress and physical activity. These were the questions I asked to get myself motivated and working out again. Yes Im still a fatty but Im steady working away at it. Its nice to see my pants starting to fall down and me having to constantly hike them up. My wallet is going to hate me in a few more months when i will need to buy new clothes again. and not because "they shrunk in the washer/dryer"

I'm in the same boat RobertJ. I started in December and have really been surprised at how fast my body is improving. I do not not want to be in the position of not being able to respond to a life threatening event for a member of my family because I am out of shape. I do not plan to be a threat to anyone if things go bad and hope to be someone who can help out my neighbors and local community. But I do want the ability, training, tactics and mindset to keep my family safe in a WROL or tyrannical situation.
