Just saw on another site that IWI is going to be bringing the X95 bullpup to the US... will post details later.
Spiffy, transfer my Tavor gun crush to the X95!

It's already here... unless they've finally actually said they've gone firm on a non-LE/mil version, in which case; WANT.

"The Tavor X95 offered to American shooters will feature a 16.5-inch barrel in the 5.56x45mm and 300 BLK configurations and a 17-inch barrel in 9x19mm"
556 and 300BLK neat. Give a shit about 9mm, if it had worked with glock mags, I might have been interested.

Ill be happy if it drives down the price of the previous Tavors. Hopefully score a big deal on someone trying to ditch their oldie for the newie.

I'm just going to go ahead and dream, ignoring costs; 13" SBR in 300 BLK w/ a fancy can to make it whisper quiet, a nice dot sight and you've got areal quiet, real compact weapon that you could do some real fighting with.
One question; Are SBRs legal to travel without paperwork inside the state they're registered in? (More specifically, could you leave it in a truck, given it's 'restricted' nature?)

From what I have been told, always have your tax stamp and paperwork with you and the weapon. Transporting out of state of residence requires additional paperwork and prior approval from ATF. That is why I like my Tavor as my "SBR with No Paperwork". Yep, the X95 looks like it fixes the things I didn't like with the Tavor, I will be getting one too.

The civy X-95 looks more like a hybrid between a military X-95 and Tavor. The 300 Blackout conversion kits are a "duh" kind of thing, what with smaller shops developing their own. (Why let that portion of the market get taken from you?) One the IWI website, they're advertising factory 300 Blackout chambered Tavors, which is quite nice. If the civy X-95 takes-off, I bet we can expect a reduction in the retail price of Tavors. I'm rather torn now, between a Tavor and X-95. The main sticking point for me, is the linkage for the mag release. However, since it is a feature which is already in use on the military X-95s, I probably shouldn't really be concerned with it.

The Tavor and its derivatives have a lot of great features. And as a low profile "long" rifle its great.
But it does not have all advantages either.. for example the powder gets exhausted much closer to your face/eyes/nose

I would think those parts would work on an X-95 as well.

I seem to recall watching one of the few videos out and someone has already commented that the X95 has fixed the issue without aftermarket parts. The biggest dissapointment for me (which may turn out not to be one!) is the rails. I would have much prefered getting rid of the Pic rails and running an MLOK handguard that you could bolt stuff to.
