Just a thought for everyone, do you know what you are allergic to? Specifically medicines, for example. On the night before I was supposed to the infamous "peanut butter shot" (penicillin shot) from the army, my mother decided to tell me I was very possibly allergic to penicillin since my entire father's side was, so much to my fellow trainees disappointment I skipped the shot because I was afraid to have an allergic reaction to it. Well, I just got tested today and came up negative for penicillin allergy. That's really nice to know general SHTF experiences, as now I can tell the ones treating that penicillin is an option for infections. Do you know what you and your team members drug allergies are?

What's fun is that people develop allergies as they age. Five yrs ago, my wife suddenly became allergic to shellfish.

Same here, as a kid I was not allergic to poison ivy, oak, sumac... My Granddad and I used to pull poison ivy vines off houses with our bare hands, no problem. One day, when I was probably 25 or so, a guy burns some poison oak or sumac on a campfire I was sitting around. The next day my eyes were all puffy, swollen, and itchy. From that point on I've been allergic to poison ivy, sumac, oak...

a favorite saying in the medical field is; You can become allergic to anything at anytime in your life.
I see people weekly that have used or eaten "XYZ" product for years without a problem, then "last night I used it and look what happened!"
Knowing now what your allergies are is important, but know new allergies can occur. You have some prednisone, epi, benadryl, etc. stocked away don't you?

Ferns....weed wacked a big patch. Felt like i had acid on my skin for two hours and itched bad....lol .
Sides that. Codine syrup gave me the "ants are crawling on me " feeling several years back.
