One thing that occurred to me also. All but 1 failure we experienced all day yesterday and even counting previous weekends data, was in the same rifle (I tested a total of 5 different rifles total between last weekend and this weekend). The SW MP15 and its had problems for some times now. different ones too... The rifle should not make a difference for ignition of primer when the FP and the Hammer spring are spec'ed properly (shouldnt it?  ) but it WAS running goofy in different ways. If I were to exclude that outlier rifle from my statistics they would look very very different. I will do more testing with more rifles though. Just ordered 2 enchanced firing pins from RedX Arms to see if there is a difference and will do more testing with these and my other FPs next weekend. My goal is to find a configuration that works near 100% |
